Default Sunday + Sun = clean car thread!

Well as its Sunday and rather lovely outside so I decided to chuck a soapy bucket over the Scoob...unfortunately I had a beer whilst doing so (it was after 10am after all!) hence I'm now to lazy to wax on wax off and I can't drive anywhere!

Anyone else been making good use of the sunshine?

Cheers for the comments guys Yep do love the colour, looks very dark in shade and almost orange in the sun. Stu I don't envy you keeping them white wheels clean, look very good against the blue but that must be a constant job! My black ones hide a multitude of sins! The brakes are K-sport 8 pots, I cannot tell you how much they were needed compared to the standard 2 pot slider things she came with (import with 350bhp mods)

Looks tidy, but loose the scope - ony the OE scoops suit bugs, and the tyres are too small

Looks nice, wonder if anyone's done a mica red bugeye with the Prodrive front bumper? Bet that'd look smart.

Stu, you really need to take a couple of steps back with the camera mate every pic I've seen of yours is cutting half the car off.

Scary but these are two issues which have been on the to do list for some time since I got the car about a year back. Scoop is a cheap aftermarket job which flexes and gives terrible bonnet lift at speed (no need given the fmic) plus does look at bit ott for the front of the car. The tyres are 18/35/215 so spot on with the wrong size, they were like new when I got it so just couldn't justify replacing straight away. Toying with the idea of losing the spoiler completely (again a cheap STI copy which was already fitted)

The ideal size for this is 225/40x18, the tyres you have would suit the classic models

Cheers for that Previous owner said it was a wheel tyre package off the net so makes sense it was for a classic. I had the alignment checked a few months after I brought it and turns out it was running -1.5 degrees on the front. Given it's a daily drive I got that changed but it had already done a fair bit of wear to the inside edges. Be nice to get a tiny bit more sidewall when replacing them, I'm sure it will glide over bumps after that!
