Default My new R

V5 type R with 43k on the clock.

Spec as follows

Simtek ECU with Anti lag / Launch control
RCM cone filter (brand new)
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
RCM pulleys (brand new)
new cambelt kit and battery
NGK PF8BR plugs
10mm 'racing' HT leads (brand new)
prodrive 3 port boost solenoid
AB88 front mount intercooler
RCM headers / up pipe & decat downpipe (brand new)
Cobra trackday exhaust
K-Sport 330mm front brake kit (brand new)
17" Ultralite Atec wheels (brand new)
Toyo Proxes (brand new)

Parts that came with it to be fitted
new Scoobyclinic SC36 turbo
Fuel lab Pressure Regulator
555cc Nismo flow matched injectors supplied by lateral performance


Pics. Before anyone says it the plate sticker is coming off this weekend! lol








With my old bug wagon


Plans so far are to fit the SC36 turbo as mine is whining badly... (this weekends job)
Fit tein coilovers to drop it abit.
Change plugs for ngk 7's and service


Hope you like it as much as me, this is my first type R and got to say i love it! 2 doors gets alot of attention, wether it be on the motorway or getting stopped at work asking about it. Awesome!

350 will be nice, its an animal on the whiney vf28, to me anyway

It's really bad. Like a supercharger lol... Been told its only a matter of time before it causes real problems, so as i got a brand new sc36 that came with the car i will change it asap

Lol, mine made that noise but when I removed it to fit a AF TD05-18g there wasn't any play on shaft or cracks in housing so you might be lucky like me

Rather not take the risk mate. I'm worried about using boost when it sounds like that. 3 days driving like a grandad because I'm paranoid. Lol lol

my old one from
about 6 or 7 years ago
was running 350bhp on the vf28 or 29 can't remember ( proper at the limit )

would love to know who has it now as not seen it any where

330bhp is a sweet spot power wise on a classic (road use) I've always found

What Teins are going for...? Apart from the height drop, what are you hoping for ride wise? You may be throwing the baby out

Small update on the R.

Fitted new defis and carbon pod


Changed the whiney turbo for the brand new SC36




Split the intake pipe so fitted the samco i had in the boot




Fitted black crystal headlights and sidelights



Fitted FPR and forge header tank, polished washer bottle, fuse cover.



Bought some new wheels, test fitted only as being refurbed tomorrow



Will upload tomorrow once the wheels are finished.

Also I'm off to see Bob rawle next friday to map the SC36 in and man up the Antilag abit. lolol

Well I won't actually know until it goes on the rollers. Simtek ecu has no delta dash to estimate power. Hoping for a nice bit of power out of it.
