Default Blob STI's new wheels.

Been a long time coming these, various reasons but finally have my dream wheels, (well for the summer time atleast)

Nothing new on colour nor design, always thought this wheel looks awesome, braved it and went for white despite the 24/7 cleaning of them.
But a slight change in tyre size from the norm.....didn't fancy the stretched 225 on the 9.5", so opted for 245's.
Of coarse this means you cant run it mega low, but again that's not what I was after.
These required a ride height lift mostly to the rears, being the widetrack ArchEnermy couldn't roll the rears, but Phil still worked his magic on the fronts.

Once again Mags was the man for supply and fit, great guy, first time meeting him hope its not the last, and GBH Motorsport for the final set-up.

its because of the widetrack arch extensions, shame as I wanted wider wheels like this

As TT said above, the widetrack model although has a lip its not much. ArchEnermy said there less of a lip than what you'd get after rolling an 04 model.
Shame as even a slight pull would have help, but again a pull would have distorted the arch extension.

Was looking at it this yesterday wondering whether to cut what lip there is off, prob about 3mm worth?

Thanks for the comments thought guys.

Stunning, unrelated to wheels but I'm liking the semi-debadged front grill.

Thanks all for nice comments.

Its a carbon aftermarket grille, prob why it looks different, just kept the small STI badge colour coded white.

That looks awesome! Even at that height and wheel width you don't have any issues with rubbing?
I am hopefully going to pick up a wide arch at the weekend and was thinking of the same wheels, but yours looks low enough for me, there is no need to go lower as these cars are performance not looks...
Does that mean that with the hawk eyes you would have the same problem too?

As per pics no rubbing..........until one big dip, round a corner at 60mph, then it rubbed.
So weekend I ground away what little lip there was on the rear arches, it was a good 5mm of material to be removed....touch wood this has worked, same bump no probs.

I would say the hawk is exactly the same as 05 blob, as its the same rear end wide track......providing its an sti?

Yes it came pre-prepped with double side tape, simply peel off and stick on.
