I often find myself wondering how some waxes can cost £25 ie ag hd and then the above at £150. Can there be that much difference in reality

It can get quite depressing when you et a nice finish as you notice every chip, scratch and imperfection in your paint. I'll not hijack the thread and post pictures, but he's a link to mine using only a relatively cheap polish from maxolen

Limited prep today really. Although I've previously machine polished the whole car with Menzerna polishes.

Today was.

Valet Pro Citrus Prewash.
Pressure washed off.
2 Bucket wash with Chemical Guys Citrus Shampoo
Pressure wash rinse.
Dried with drying towels.

No real fallout was evident so I skipped Iron X, Tar X and claying as I'd only done that roughly a month ago.

Wolfgang Polish Enhancer applied with DAS6 Pro and Chemical Guys Hex Logic White pad.

Glaze applied with the same machine but on a black pad.

Sealant applied by hand on a Swissvax applicator pad.

Wax also applied by hand on another Swissvax applicator pad and buffed off with a Microfibre madness cloth. I'd liked to of got another coat of wax on but ran out of time.

Looks great as usual Boyd.

Have you every done a paint thickness measurement? I'm guessing it's still on the original coat of paint?

Curious to find out how thick the paint is on these? Mine is pathetic with only 80-100 microns since new. I know it's a Spec C, but i think they went with the term lightweight too literally!

Thanks mate

It's still on It's original paint although the front offside wing has hand some clear as the previous owner went through it with an industrial pressure washer!!

The paint readings are between 130 - 200 Microns so all very healthy. Not sure a Spec C would be quite so different lol. That'd not be fun to machine polish!

Wax was the easiest part tbh. One panel at a time on and off. No need to let dry. Very similar to Zymol Glasur.

I found the hardest part was removing the glaze. Drys quite quickly and requires a bit of elbow grease to get off. Being picky though really, the complete kit is one of the best I've ever used.

Will do mate. Got a 2-3 day paint correction to do on a black NSX in a few weeks. That'll be a good test for it
