Default Jim's Impreza (Jimpreza?) STI Widetrack

Alright Folk.

Got this a couple of weeks ago and havn't had chance to drive it much due to work and insurance not changing over until next week. Nonetheless, Ive had a decent blast over the Easter weekend and aside from a couple of teething problems I'm absolutely over the moon with it. Its phenomenal. Also, I think the crystal grey colour makes it look a little classier!

Got a couple of mods planned (mainly gauges in the short-term) but the main plan is to drive it, enjoy it, and possibly experiment with a track day. Although its too nice to risk binning it! Another plan is to touch up the little marks and scuffs and get it pristine internally and externally. May just get new parts from Subaru as little scuffs drive me crazy (am a little OCD!).

Pics!

My old man driving it home: (he was covered on his insurance - was torture!)

Easter weekend blast:

Red bull break during a lazy burble back down the M6:

Partial debadging (Got to keep the STI!):

New found assistant (dont think he'll approve of the Nur Spec R!)

Welcome to the crystal grey club, they're great cars and still work with the gold wheels.

Threw the code reader on it today, got a few nonsense codes but nothing serious. Would like to clear them off but my only option is an 'ECU Reset'. Sounds a bit severe... Is there any downside?

With the Cobb Accessport reader function, resetting the ECU just resets it back to the hard coded default map. In your case, a reset will send you back to a stock flash which is what you have anyway right? Most OS tunes or simular tunes make it default back to the custom flash on a reset.

go for it

Cheers guys! Reset it last night. Seems a little flat but could be in my head.
Rbon- not a fan of pro drive wheels sorry, not if they're the PFF7 ones. I'll be getting coilovers before wheels anyway.

Small update. Finally got my stereo fitted.

Also, on all my previous Japanese import cars, when taking panels off etc you normally find some hidden goodies, Japanese coins, sweets etc.

Then again this is a UK car, so all I found was this

Can't fault the previous owners taste in food though!

No real updates, but here's some pics after a quick clean. Managed to get the headlights to come up nicely too.

You get what you pay for! Apparently this is (some of) the best suspension you can get for under £1000.

Not mapped yet but running the PPP. Starting to get used to it so may look to upgrading turbo etc in the new year.

Coilovers fitted soon but had a lot of bills come at once and Id prefer get it serviced sooner rather than later. Coilover fitting can wait!

I saw someone else had brought the first set of 114 pcd ones from drift works. I managed to bag the other set. Crazy as they ask £750 plus postage on there website!
