Default My 2001 WRX

After not owning an Impreza for a while & being down at Jakes the other day seeing his & Kevs cars made me start searching the internet again for one.

As I don't normally own a car I can call "My Own" I didn't want to spend a fortune so was thinking of getting a Classic.

Found a few quite local & was ready to go see a Green R reg one with 90k on it that's at a garage.

Anyway after looking for days on end on Ebay I have finally bought one.

Big thanks to Jake for taking me back tonight to pick it up.

Pics how it stood this morning

Got these off Jake

Really easy to fit & makes a big difference

Next it was time for a quick wash

Looks a lot better now

The car is totally standard, Even on OEM backbox, Engine has been left standard

One thing that was annoying me was the stupid Aeriel for the phone kit & the daft sticker that was under it

Quick go with a blade soon saw the end to that

Im quite new to Subaru's, I asked Jake (cuprajake) on here what to look out for when buying one & he said, Listen for knocking engine when starting from cold, Knocks & bangs from rear struts, water leaks into boot, Check all panel gaps, Make sure gear change is smooth, Look for black smoke when it comes on boost

The remote locking on the alarm wasn't working & neither was the interior clock,

Found out how to re-sync the remote off Cobra web site & got a replacement clock off Jake so im happy again

Gave it a little clean earlier

Not too much at the moment really, I want to change the twin rear pipes to a prodrive one, Fit the larger rear spoiler, Front lip under bumper then some fog covers,

Wouldn't mind the larger scoop & some 18" Alloys eventually

Good man! Good to see a big spoiler is imminent! Splitter shaped parcel is Intriguing! I've got the standard PPP Prodrive exhaust off my blobeye if you're interested. No idea if it will fit!

Wanted the Larger spoiler from day one, I was meant to be getting a Prodrive exhaust on Sunday but on further investigation it turns out that I need most of the exhaust centre changing aswell.
