...and a perfect excuse for some photographs! Crystal Grey really comes alive in the sun IMO.

Thanks guys, I didn't even polish it today - It had several layers of protection applied about 6 weeks ago and it's still doing its job.
Today was Snowfoam, 2BM, towel dried and then a quick run around with Megs QD and trim stuff like glass cleaner.
My wheels need a refurb, not that you can see from the photographs but they've been rattlecanned in the past and have a few runs and chips. Gonna get them powdercoated and I'm tempted with a gunmetal grey colour, but I do really like the silver.

Great example, you are right the colour is sweet in the sun. Have u tried Werkstat Acrylic products on the paint? I find it really gives it depth, so the metallic 'flake' really pings out, as well as gloss.
Excuse the untreated tyre

I haven't, but I've had it recommended to me.
I spoke to a detailer asking for recommendations to "pop" the silver paint better, as it's always a less rewarding colour. The first suggestion he gave me was the Acrylic Kit so I'll be picking the set up within the next few weeks.
The car was professionally detailed back in November due to some correction work I needed, but now I've got a really nice baseline and no visible swirls. Late March/Early April should see me do a full strip down of all protection and detox before a proper clean and protect with the Acrylic Kit.
It's nice to see it pop up in separate conversation though, it must be good.

I know what you mean about the goldflake, when I first collected my car after it's detail it was dark but parked inside a garage. To anyone who had just seen the car for the first time, they'd never believe it was a silver car - it looked gold.
