you will need a map after adding these mods to ensure proper running and to gain any proper benifits.

Might help if you list the model of the scoob you have bought ect

so you would need the esl board or a after market ecu to have a map. with the fmic i would personally go the mafless route ( Simtek, syvecs ecu ect ) as the mafs are made of choclate and will cost you a small fortune lol and also you will then have the benifit of having al and lc activated ect ect

Hope your running your import on Super Unleaded?? As they should NOT be run on standard UK pump Unleaded.

But as said its not like a non turbo car where you can do some mods and you'll get instant gains. With a turbo car (especially Impreza's) they need the ignition and fuelling looked at. Some will be ok, some will need a map. The early Impreza's need a standalone ecu, or a daughterboard like ESL. Speak to the mappers on here for what its capable of.

yea mate, im running v power... i wont put anything else in. I was told that the japs run a higher octane of fuel over there, so normal unleaded was a big no no.

can you point me in the direction of any mappers mate?

cheers for the advise

i use Pat Herborn at the scoobyclinic he's by far the best imo he made my car unbelievable with his skills and knowladge 482/490 at the mo . Its a mine field asking about mappers lol as everyone has there mappers and mappers they don't like. Best thing to do is get a list together of the top mappers and research till your happy. Please don't think thou that cheaps the best way
