Awesome mate when u did the carbon in the interior how did you get the gear gaitor off? Take off the gearknob, unplug the lighter etc, then what?

Fantastic! A great looking car. Some really nice subtle mods and it looks super clean too. I love the fog light surrounds. Were they hard to do ? Very, very nice !!!

Thankyou aswell,
yeah nothing too mad modding wise, cleaning is just as much a hobby as the car is. Fog-light surrounds were pretty easy, I made the mesh+ painted to fit the curved surround, glued in place. Brought a couple of alu funnels and flexy hose to route direct to filter air box, other side goes to engine bay, been fine for a few years now.

Thankyou for the comment,
Yes, take the **** off, unplug the lighter, then the whole of that section pops off, unsrew the 6bolts to remove the leather boot, made wrapping easier.
Does that help?

Kinda I mean how do u get the gaitor off past the gearstick, as its slid up underneath the reverse selector thing. I cant see how it passes this point.

hmmm, you meaning you cant remove the leather part from the gear stick section?

The reverse collar stays put, my leather boot has a button/stud popper thing lol, un-did that to open the leatherboot up, then slides up & over the whole gear stick.

Really Nice and well thought out.

I like the very subtle stickers, like a spot the stickers competition, but doesnt cheapen the car at all

Thought you might say that Tommy
I made comments on your thread, exactly the same statement I will make of yours, so many little touches that work so well together.

Hmmm wondering if the collar on yours unscrews? Maybe a hidden grubscrew underneath?
I'm sure the leather boot would still have to come off over the gear stick, so the collar must come off?
If it does watch out for the spring that may fly off.

It does sit pretty low, yes BC coolers fitted, think the track makes it look lower, just the more severe speed bumps to watch for.
Happy to share ideas mate, that's what the forum is about.
Oh yes Rossi, a living god lol.

i was going to cut a hole into my fog cover but after seeing the surround with the hole in, im thinking that looks much better.

luckily i have the surrounds in my garage too as i must have one of the only blobeye sti that actually has foglights behind the covers.

or should i say had as the fmic has ended that now.

Almost did the same to my standard covers, but thought this way looked more purposeful.
With your fmic is there any space for the flexy hose I'm wondering?

im not sure until i get the bumper cut and back on but i think there is.
if not the hole with mesh will do as the air in the inner wing is far cooler than in the engine bay anyway.

i just like the look of it tbh im a bit of a tart like that

I didn't know him, he went for it going into the national speed limit and it was very quick! Definetly not a standard one as I couldnt real him in easily :s and mines 320bhp

Wheels next for mine just can't decide what I want yet.

I used to see your car in my old modded astravan as my unit used to be in frating and that made me what one even more!
