if it had flowed from the outer edges of the grilles, it would look better

Yeah Iv seen that done before, looks a bit Audi'sh and a tad tame for me. I wanted to try something a bit wider so went out past the grill in a more angular shape.

i dont like it at all, but just a thought why didnt you do it in vinyl wrap instead of paint??
when it comes time to sell it on the mod will put off a lot of buyers, wrap could of been removed easily.
your car though and if you like it then all is good, at least its different.

Is that satin black? I quite like that. Is different. If it were me I’d have done it with vinyl just in case. lol

Bumper had some stone chips etc and previous owner has made a bit of a hash of trimming it for a front mount that was then on. So Im not too bothered about buying another second hand one at some point.

Though I am considering getting the roof and top of rear spoiler wrapped in Matt black.

I saw this on a car at the Richard Burns Rememberance at Prodrive last year and quite liked it then, like you say it's a marmite thing but I do like it.

We all modify our cars to our taste at the time, some good and some bad choices in retrospect as I can testify to myself - that's all that matters is that you like it as we all have differing tastes.

looks good but for me is a bit too wide, prefer the the one where the angle follows the edge of the grille
