Default My first Scooby, 1996 import

Well this is the first scooby iv owned, its 1996 Wrx Sti, imported in 2009, 2 owners, still kmh limited with 64000kmh on the clock.

Spec

1996 wrx sti redtop engine, standard apart from the dumpvalve.
Sard dumpvalve
3'' catback exhaust system to the jap style back box
Brand new D2 coilovers
Brand new inovate 18'' wheels
Razo short shirt with pink cruise gear ****
Razo pedals
HKS type 2 turbo time
Carbon fibre ironing board spoiler
Carbon fibre bonnet intake vents
Later spec bumpers

Plans
Front splitter - ordered
P1 rear lights red/white
Clear side and front indicators
Induction kit, HKS mushroom maybe
Front mount intercooler
Remove the ironing board and go spoilerless
New wheels like a concaved type wheel so it look fat with a nice stance, i will be needing help with those soon.

Anyway enough of me going on heres some pictures.

LOVING IT!!!

BUT that isn`t an Ironing board, if you remove it the back end will get light, very light.
I`d leave it on or colour code it, I`m not a fan of the de-spoilered look.

Me I`d leave it as is outside, but FMIC and a subtle splitter.

Wow, lovely looking impreza mate. Defo agree with the previous post that a front splitter will finish it of nicely.

Clear repeaters yeah that would match, but I love those wheels.

Me I`d be looking for a front mount and getting it up in the bhp/torque figures and done.

I like the wheels, they look really wide so im assuming they are 8j?

Were you able to fit these wheels with standard suspension struts? or with them being wide were coilovers needed?

im not keen on the wheels the 18 x 7.5j, the wheels catch with standard suspension so i fitted coilovers with adjustable camber.

Not looking good for me then, I have some 19' Oz wheels that are 8j wide. No doubt they will catch the standard suspension struts.

im looking at getting rid of these wheels and going for 18 x 8j i think 19 x 8 will catch on standard struts mine did with the wheels that are on it now.

Coilovers or maybe even some decent spacer might solve the problem for me then. I havent even tried to put the wheels on (have no tyres on them at present)

What wheels you planning on going for next?

Looks good take it the face lift was done by one of the previous 2 uk owners?
One thing I will point out is that P1 rear light clusters are the same as the ones you have on, so buying some wont change a thing, you need the STI rear light clusters if you want the red/transparent look
Wheel wise, 17's are best on a classic, 18's can rub especially if lowered, 19's will just be too harsh and you will need the arches rolling/modifying (it will also slow your car down!) and cost you a fortune in tyres

cheers Tony, I'm new to the scooby game, I'm after the sti lights for the rear iv noticed the P1 are the same. I'm thinking of going for some 17 x 8 enkei nt03m wheels for mine, the face lift was done over japan my friend never did it. I had it on the ramp last night and noticed it's got a bottom H brace.

Don`t forget some Chrome covered indicator bulbs for the rears and fronts.
Stops the clear lights looking orange when not on, cleans them up nicely, esp when using crystal clear indicators and repeater`s.

Only thing I`d do is add some Crystal fogs, not everyone likes the fogs in place, but I do.
But love the car!!
