Heads it does turn, too many in a way, maybe i'm too shy a person for it.

I'd say the P1 is marginally quicker in a straight line (very simialr power to weight ratio), but on anything less than a perfect road the P1 will be a lot quicker. Trouble with the 340R is that it takes a lot to learn to drive the car at even 7/10ths, my previous scooby could be drivin very hard without much thought, the rewards are greater in the 340, if you get the engine on 'cam' and get the bends to flow there is nothing like it. The car IMO is just so much fun

lol @ Mellow's comment "it wasn't the car they were looking at...it was your Jack Nicholson film star looks"..

Sure it was Jack Nicholson and not Jack Duckworth

Only kidding Skippy

I'd have one tomorrow but it'd play havoc with my hair (all 6 of 'em)

Skippy, if you really want to turn heads in the 340, try doing 2 weeks of hard driving on Spanish roadworks so that the sides of the car are smothered in condensed white dust, then drive through a tourist-packed San Sebastien in September, in bumper to bumper traffic, crawling speed, so the masses can get a real good look at you - at first, they don't notice you from the rest of the traffic, but it's BRILLIANT when they do - they virtually drop everything they're carrying and they stand transfixed for 5 minutes! Neat.
Hey NEO....
How you doing my old son... Sorry not been arond for a while what with that horrible thing called work..
Yep.. The scooby goes next month, sad to see it go but the steering rack is on the way out as well as the power steering pump and a rear wheel bearing. I must stop driving to work like Tommi Makinen

Check out the link below to see what I'm getting next month..

I did consider a new Scooby but what with a wedding to pay for next year I'm cutting back a bit, I may ask for a STi in my wedding list

Er, no Skippy, this 340R passenger ain't interested in girly stuff and takes only one bag for the whole Stelvio tour.
As for where two people's luggage for a two week tour goes, it goes in the passenger footwell, and the passenger's feet (i.e. mine) go on the front shelf. And that is much more comfortable than normal sitting position in an Elise! It's amazing just how much packing room there is in a 340R - more than in the Elise passenger cabin - considering that it is a car with no roof, no doors, no windows, not even any tread.
And before you start worrying about your suede, don't worry - I take my shoes off before putting my feet on the shelf. And yes, I have been known to drive off and leave my shoes in the road!
Latymer? Just one I'm trying out!
