ok,what do u think about the 04 spec? is there many benefits from going for a 05 onwards other than the look of the front end?

The facelift was basically just that with very few mechanical changes, the 04 car was very "Marmite" in many peoples opinions and as such the prices are alot lower than the generally favoured facelift cars.

05/06 from memory, the only real difference I noticed was slightly better steering feel but I did also have AST suspension fitted.

http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/s...st.asp?inc=304

or 13-15k for a 06 facelift with similar spec.

A Litchfield sourced car would be the way to go IMHO.

The first 3 came from Iain and the current one was from a private sale but originated from David Hendry Cars. Road tax is £400.

what sort of comparison would it be like with my my99 uk turbo 315/320 compared to say a 55 plate fozzy sti from litchfields running 330/330? is it in a different league?

maybe, but im expecting the forester to be alot better,it has 2.5 and 6 speed for starters, more power/more torque and at the end of the day much nicer car, better interior etc etc.i would have thought it would be as quick as my classic if not a bit quicker,im hoping i wont be dissapointed when i eventually test drive one(with 330/330). looks a far better car imho.
