Default 2011 WRX sedan/hatch to have STi fenders.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I am so excited the this is coming here in the states. I'm also glad didn't buy a STi Special Edition this weekend.

2011 WRX at NY autoshow. I love it!!!!!

NEW YORK — Subaru of America is rolling out its 2011 Impreza WRX with a wide-body design similar to that on the flagship WRX STI. The automaker calls it a "wide and low" look; Executive Vice President Tom Doll says the change makes the WRX into "an even more compelling all-wheel-drive performance package." The new models will debut at the 2010 New York Auto Show, and arrive in dealerships this summer.

Inside Line says: You complained and Subaru listened. The new WRX sedan finally looks like a serious street-legal rally car instead of a warmed-over Toyota Corolla. — Laura Sky Brown, Correspondent

Stick a large whale tale spoiler on the back and bump it up to 300bhp and I'd buy one

The USA has always had this saloon. Don't see anything in these articles to suggest that it'll be coming here, even in this facelift form. Would be nice if it did tho.

Looks so much better!
Very aggressive when lowered, if that's the WRX would love to see the 2011 STI.

This is how it should have been for the 2008 models tbh

Shame about the performance though, 0-60 in over 6 secs! That'll be slower than the Astras, Focuses and Type Rs

kinda defeats the purpose of the STI being something special tho by making the WRX beefed up.

I cant understand why the saloon version isn't available for UK, after all, isnt the fact that the impreza lost a boot was most people's disgust in the UK to begin with?

thos EVO X wheels look just like the Prodrive 19" wheels (or TSW venoms!!!!)

0 - 60 in over 6 seconds?

Woah. Magazines have consistently tested USDM 2010 WRX models running 0 - 60 times in less than 5 seconds. One magazine, tested the 2010 WRX with a SPT catback exhaust, to a blistering 0 - 60 in 4.5 seconds.

I really like the look of the saloon version, shame it wont come to the UK.

Odd comment from RB5 286, the STi is a beefed up WRX, isnt that what Subaru do??? take a WRX and beef it up??

OMG!!!!!!!!!!

http://blogs.insideline.com/straight...auto-show.html

Well, now that the standard Impreza WRX looks like the STI, Subaru figured it was time to upgrade the actual STI with a new appearance. This teaser shot gives a not-so-subtle hint at what's in store. Look for the official unveil on Thursday morning.
