Default MY FIRST SCOOBY MY01

Hi guys, just joined the club! Viewed a few motors over the last week and would like to warn anyone over a particular car in Hampshire PX02 OAY, steer clear!!!!!!!!!! Picked up a 01 wrx (i quite like the face) with 60k dealer history, very clean extirior and immaculate interior, 2 owners and great drivetrain.
I would like to mention that Blue Dragoon (member ) has given me some great advice over the last week and thank him for his advice.

I am looking to modify the car heavily, starting with engine and brakes. First on the list is a bigger turbo (to be fitted later) but have the money now. Anyone send me in right direction??? How do i post pics???

Welcome mate, you need to use a host website like photobucket, use the [img] links to post your pictures. Im sure there will be other people more qualified than me that can explain about mods, although i would say not to go straight for a bigger turbo as there are countless things you will need to upgrade before that.

expensive hobby, brace yourself!!!

don't just whack on a turbo straight away, better spent on brakes/suspension first imo..........

Hi Jek thanks for the welcome!! Never thought i'd scooby it to be honest. Been modding for 10yrs, am a nissan convert. I wasn't planning on sticking a bigger blower on straight away, have sold a house so have the cash to buy parts and get them all done at once, then mapped and dyno'd. I don't want to go as far as internals yet but 300hp with injectors, turbo, air, exhaust, fuel pump, map seems do-able??? Previous car nissan s13 ca18dett 340hp(hks,norris,blitz etc).

Thanks for the welcome Beef (see reply re;turbo). It's going to the local specialist first for it's stamp and a dyno to see what the actual hp is at present. Before i start work, injectors, air in out, turbo, fuel pump, remap, maybe eku-tek.3

Ps i have been to see a few this week before i got one and would like to warn anyone of a car in Hampshire PX02 OAY avoid at all costs

Welcome mate.Ive a bugeye as well.Apart from engine mods, the mosy useful have been an sti brembo conversion and a set of hid lights as the oe (in both cases) are useless.
Ive wasted a bit of money on the way on mods,so if you need any advice, ask away and the search function on SN is a great source of info, too

welcome aboard mate, theres lots you can do to your bugeye but as above ide go for suspension and brakes first...i upgraded my power without doing the brakes and wished ide have done it the other way round, a year later and im still stuck with the useless brakes that were standard to the bugeye
