OMG LOOK at my pollen filter

just took out my pollen filter because i was bored sitting watching telly. lol. and look at the state of it

. needless to say ive now got a new one,

never done it since ive owned the car and to be honest dont know if the original owner had done it. even tho its got a full subaru service history. now i will be on top of it. i would suggest we all check them out seeing that we are gonna be using our heaters/blowers etc..

well, i tell a lie actually. i havnt got a new one yet cos subaru dealer hasnt got any

, but they will have tomorrow morning

which is when i will be picking it up.

so for now i spent a good half hour cleaning and hoovering it out and it looks like new

. and the differance in the blowers is night and day.

If you live near leicester a dealer there didnt even now the impreza had a cabin/pollen filter fitted as a friend had to point it out to them, whats that all about ?

it was an option so not every car has one. but they should know where it goes obviously!

if you can hang on a few days get one from here Subaru Impreza 2001 on Pollen Cabin Filter i think the subaru one is about £30? good saving

i know i could of saved a few quid but i want genuine filters dude. im a bit **** like that. dont see the point on spending thousands on the car and save a few quid on filters so its genuine all the way for me im afraid.

Myself and Andy Lyman fitted one of these as its an upgrade version compared to the OEM one at some ridiculous price. Very easy job to exchange, mine had been in for 6 years and looked like the one in the photo above.

I've seen worse - the worst being one that had a mouse nest in it!

Actually of the ones I used to see when I serviced customer's cars (going back over 12 years now

) were often worse than that and in some cases they were just taken out and left without a filter, as the customer was too tight to pay for a new filter

hello mate. curly cables? you mean the one i had on my OMP steering wheel push button start? which i have now taken off. im now back to the normal starting procedure.

i got the cable from a local mobile phone shop.
