it isnt very hard. The hardest bit was the slam panel fitment but once that was on it was quick as.The panels fit straight on without any issues apart from the front bumper but thats because i have a FMIC.
The most annoying bit is finding all the parts without paying a fortune for them but i go there finally and it was worth it.

Hmm, intresting.

How much would you estimate all the parts cost you? (if you dont mind me asking)

Cheers.

Please don't take this the wrong way but why not just go and buy a Blob rather than go though the hassle of converting a Bugeye.

The reason i converted my bugeye was because I have just had new STI 8 bottom end, new VF34, New Exedy Clutch, New Flywheel, New Brakes, New Interior and a load more money spent on it.

I know the cars history and know the engine now because its new so I didnt buy a blobeye because I have spent too much on this car and also I know its history now.
I couldnt bare selling this knowing its mint then buying a blobeye then BANG "get your wallet out pal".

Here is what I paid for the bits:

Slam Panel (genuine from Subaru) - £211
Bonnet (with scoop) - £80
Bumper (with covers) - £120
Wings - £80
Grille - £40

Paintwork and fitting - £450

So in all it cost me - £981 for the conversion.

Great job mate, looks fantastic in Mica Red, one of a kind! I'd get the bonnet sprayed to match tho IMO.

doing the same thing myself!

any pics of the wiring to the lights?

Also, did you have to adjust the bonnet to get it to sit higher when closed, to sit level with the wings?

You have PM regarding the headlights mate.

As for the lining up of the wings and bonnet there werent much adjustment for the bonnet,it lined up with the wings bang on tbh. The hardest bit was to line the bonnet up with the bumper where it comes up at the side of the headlights, that took a bit of adjustment. Watch the alignement with the wing and door aswell as we bolted it all up and noticed the gaps were slightly different so had to adjust slightly.

Phase 2 - This will be revealed later this week Should be finished for friday morning.

The roof and spoiler are in the process of going black aswell so it will all match when I next post the pics up.
I am also purchasing a front splitter and a rear diffuser so when its all fitted I shall get some pics up

Wiley - The headlights were free yeah from a mate who I did a favour for. I did buy some off here but I sold them again as the Free pair came up

Its a good conversion.

I'm actually considering buying a bug wagon at the moment so I guess if I go off the bug styling I know I can go to blob. I don't actually mind bug styling really.
