Took delivery of the GTR this morning

Blimey, 'bout time...has it been worth the wait?

First impressions and all that please

 

i live near middlehurst went past a couple of days ago they were taking delivery of 2 trucks full of gtr's awesome cars in the flesh

 

The car has been very much worth the wait, been a while since initial deposit was placed towards the back end of 2007!!!! But now i have got it, i'm like a kid at xmas!! Its just sublime, there's nothing i would have changed on it at all! even keeping it under 3.5k on the revs for initial 500 miles the car has some grunt running through it, cant wait to open her up and see what she is really capable of!

Having only covered a mere 83 miles in it, it gets a lot of attention, but these pics do not do it justice it is such a lovely car in real life and to sit behind the wheel is such a privilege......speaking of which i'm off to put some miles on it!!

Long time no speak matey! I'd forgotten about you having one of those on order, it looks fantastic mate! Every time I see one of these in the flesh I end up making rather funny noises and drooling for the rest of the journey How was the first drive back from the dealership then? Imagine it gets a little bit more attention than the Impreza and Evo?

Someone parked next to me the other day in a black one of these, there were only us two at the far side of the car park Looked amazing. Larger than I expected though! I'd love one!

Drive back was filled with a big grin and probably too much time looking at the screen and gauges as opposed to the road in front . Does get a bit of attention, having done 300 miles in it, i must have snapped about 100 odd onlookers necks as the try to catch a glimpse. Sitting in traffic in London, feel like a celeb with mobiles out having me photo taken by randoms

It is a big motor, it has some road presence!! I pulled up next to an R8 and dwarfed it!
