Default Number Plate too small?

Hi, does my number plate look too small?

I think it looks good myself... but had a couple looks from police today so just wondered.

Havent measured the font sizes etc as yet... just searching to see if imports differ from UK sizes

My GF seems to think its really funny and belongs on my kids' pedal car

illegal, due to incorrect font size.

no doubt you will end up getting pulled

technically up to £1000 fine, but.... probably get a £30 fine and a visit to an mot test station to verify that you change the plates to legal standards

Completely illegal and not exactly useful unless you are running a front mount which you clearly are not.

The best way to minimise getting pulled by the police is have maybe a smaller plate but the legal font and spacing

Know your laws and the BS for import number plates - Import Number Plates

My plate is tiny, but complies with the British Standards and therefore the law!

Well mine is a 3/4 size with legal font & spacing.

I normally stick original on for MOT, but last week I forgot to swap and it still passed the MOT?

To be honest thou the mot tester will not be as strict as the traffic guys on the plate itself, say what you want but sooner or later run anything other than standard and you will get pulled for your plate, the major use off number plate reading cameras nowadays means that the traffic guys are clamping down very heavily on non standard sized /font plates. plates.

Is this the size Swiss, Jono and Richy have?

the letters are about 69mm high so a bit on the small side but should be ok.

You do realise that you've "swirled" out the reg on the sticky number plate on your bonnet but the normal plastic type on the floor infront of the front bumper the reg is still clearly visable?!

I ve kept the standard font and the police have had no interest in it around here.

Totally illegal but looks a hell of a lot better.
And a fine is £30, I've had the pleasure of 2 of them.

Depends what mood he's in really. First one had a little ruler to measure the letters! They were doing ANPR checks at the time and weren't amused. Second one was on a mission chasing people at rally GB.

.... I got my square plate in the boot... was thinking if I told him I just bought a new one he'll be a lil' happier
Tryed that first time, pulled the huge plate out of the boot. Wasn't interested. He was happy writing the ticket.

They haven't really bothered me for a while. I guess they just give up on me now.
