Bonnet Number Plate
Do you think a number plate on the bonnet will look ok? I will be putting a FMIC next month, and am thinking of alternatives of the stock position. I can think of Evo position or bonnet position.....
I've not seen many done on a newage.....and you guys done it?
Cheers
Chris

I think it will look good on the bonnet. I've been looking for a supplier for a sticky one for the bonnet.
I don't think the impreza suits the evo style off to the side, it's not symmetrical.
Tim.

I made a thread for the Evo ones, and to be honest I do think they look good! But, on the other hand there was exactly that point you said about the symmetry.
I find it had to picture it on the bonnet on my car though!
There are sticky ones on ebay. Not sure of the quality.

Be very carefull when appling reflective vinyl to any paint work, it has glass fibres within(not on the sticky side) & is a pain when removing also because it's thick it will after a short time lift. I would advise that you buy a bit of vinyl the same shape as your number plate & place the plate on top of the vinyl then apply to your bonnet this way if it does lift it will be easy to remove

What do you mean Wozzaa? If I understand it right, wouldn't it be easier to stick my current number plate on the bonnet? Or am I barking up the wrong tree......
53WRX, do you mean a 3/4 size in the stock position?

So is sticking it to your bonnet.
You can get legal plates made up in that size, which display manufacturers and BS mark from Craigsplates.com, I think the problem comes in how applicable the plate is to that particular car/year.
Woz means, lay the sticky plate onto some pre applied clear vinyl on your bonnet. So plate is stuck to vinyl not your paint.

I thought it would maybe effect the cooling...but that would just be a guess to be honest, so you are probably right.
I wouldn't mind opening up the area so you will be able to see the full FMIC as well.
