your air intake system - need ideas?
right, im gonna go mafless avec simtek ecu when t'bugger comes back out, iv currently got stock inlet to turbo, zerosports inbetween maf + intake, and an apexi power intake.
now considering i can dump the zerosport pipe, + maf housing me do im wanting ideas of what i can have instead Iv seen APS CAI but they go onto the maf, what about a newage CAI? will one fit a classic with a FMIC? do hybrid do one?

What about a custom intake job? Heres a picy of mine and the thread I did...

You could just remove the maf housing from the setup.
I used the standard intake 'funnel', removed the airbox resonator in the wing, replaced with a straight through tube (you can adapt one out of the existing resonator or use a curved silicone hose) and installed a K&N Apollo filter onto silicone hosing I cut to shape and size. Its a sealed intake and avoids using a cold air feed from the bumper where water and crap can travel up the pipe into your intake. Some people have had no problems with this but Im just playing on the safe side.
Hope that helps.
