Default New HT Auto's Rear Diffuser Fitted

Fitted it this afternoon. Needed two of us really, as I kept the bumper on....as I don't know how to remove it

Sorry for the dirtiness of my car!

Like it - only thing i might change would be the silver screws to black ones.

Cool

Chris that looks very nice , how close does the front edge fit to the underside..? I just worry it might 'catch' air..!

If possible could you post a few pics from under the car (no need to jack up) from forward looking back (ie in front of the rear wheels)..?

Soooooo tempted, just need to convince myself about negative aero effects..

I'd agree about painting/marker penning the rivet heads black..

hehe, yeah still got the stickers on the side n one!

I will get some more pics tomorrow for you.

I do agree though about the silver bolts. I did think maybe about getting those black number plate screw cap things??

It isn't going to help aero dynamics by any means But I'm not sure how much drag it will give. I have been for a hard blast tonight, and it still on! It comes with two brackets for the 'inside', but feel more may help. Although I don't know where you'd bolt them to.

It wasn't difficult to fit really. Would be a lot easier with the bumper off, but it is do-able! You just have to reach in from under the car to tighten the bolts. This wouldn't be needed if you used rivets though. It took me 1.5 hours (which included jacking up, tidying etc).

5mm mate. I'd recommend putting a washer on the inside of the bumper though as well if using rivets.

Just seem these:

BLACK ALUMINIUM POP RIVETS (PRB13) on eBay, also, Other Car Parts, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 24-Apr-09 14:49:33 BST)

Should be about the right size, although 10mm length would possibly be better..?

Thanks Chris, looking forward to seeing some more pics..

They'll be spot on mate, and you can use the washers which come with the diffuser on the inside of the bumper so you don't destroy it.

It's raining here, so no pics today Will try later though before it gets dark
