Default My non- Scooby project

FAO Moley really But thought I may aswell put my progress up here

Got it back from paint a week ago... It looks awesome in Ford Moonstone Blue, can wait to get it built back up and get it running
Ever building a 2 litre zetec turbo lump for it... CP pistons and Pauter rods again from Ron @ Axis USA again
Or for ease and to keep the costs down, fit a standard Focus RS lump in it running a S2 RST gearbox for awhile, eva way looking for 250- 300bhp
Running it on Adaptronic engine management again like on the old Type R

The old Skool Borbet C's have been re painted in Tungsten grey and fitted with new Goodyear Eagle F1's all round

Coming along nicely mate.

Have you decided what engine to go for yet? Andy said you were torn between a turbo'd Zetec or the Focus RS lump.

Pistons and rods from USA for the Mondeo 2 litre lump are now working out at around the £800 quid mark, then theres alittle machining, oil return etc to be done, T28 turbo, injectors etc etc... Bet that lots gonna cost atleast £1800 ish...

Where as the Focus RS lump with manifolds, plus the GT28 turbo can be had for around the £1100 quid mark with less than 40K on... its deffo the quicker option to get a low mileage RS lump, and the heads are better for more horse power...
The only issue with fitting the RS lump is the water pump direction, which is easy sorted with off the shelf parts now...
1 engine mount wants modding, but thats the same which ever engine goes in...
