He might live at home.....

**** me i'd have a GT3 if my folks would still put me up !!!

Taking your first scooby on its maiden voyage out in the snow might not be the brightest thing to do though

good luck with it !!

Depends where you live, if mummy and daddy live in a posh rural village, with a detached house with a heated and locked double garage where the car is parked over night, its ALOT cheaper than someone who's parents live in the middle of salford and the car is parked on the road at night!

AFAIK, its all about postcodes and garages!

That's crazy. How many years no claims do you have?

I'm 21, have 4 years no claims, no points etc, and I was paying £1000 when I renewed in December. That was a Turbo 2000

age also comes into it aswell. I was £1,500 when I bought my Type R at 24, I just sold it and was quoted £350 for a years insurance. I'm now 28.
But your right postcodes play a big part in it.

I'm with Adrian Flux - £500 fully comp on a MY99 Sport - can't fault them.

Please take some advise - get away from Admiral - if you have bump they are a nightmare to deal with.

I had a bump 4 years ago (not my fault) got rear-ended by a izzu trooper at speed - they told the main dealer (where the car was) that i had said that they could take the car away. I went to a salvage yard in Essex (i live in South Wales) and it came back minus the whole performance exaust system, rear spoiler and aftermarket wheels.

Admiral nor the salvage yard did not want to know.

If I had more time I would have took them all though the courts !

It was pathetic - wanna know my quote fro that car £666.55 !!!!

Andy

I had a right nightmare. I'm 27 5 years no claims and yet I still get quates for my MY99 STI well above a grand. I live on a bad street, well My car aint had no trouble as of yet, but my Honda was vandalsied all the time.

I guess I can afford it because I live with parents and as I'm fugly I dont have a lass. So I have to have some enjoyment somewhere and thats the car.

Also Insurance companies would say "we can't insure you unless u have owned the vehicle for a year". but I'm with A-Plan and paying £659.

No, that was TPFT with Elephant. My car was probably only valued at 2500-3000 by the insurance company, so no point in going fully comp. Have just sold the car, and now have a Focus ST170 which is £800 fully comp with Elephant, so I actually got a refund of £200 even with upgrading my cover!

Talking of garages... my policy last year with Elephant it was cheaper if I left it on the driveway over night than in the garage

Nice car
Just remember the important bits, super unleaded/v power ONLY!! unless you want a new engine service regulary, keep to what the services should be for its age/mileage (whichever is first), take an advanced driving training package, the one thing is, that at 21 your still very inexperienced driving wise, and its quite a handful sometimes, the car will make you feel much better than you are, until you get into a pickle, then they can really bite so its worth doing

I'm with insureyourmotor / Brothers finance ltd I believe thats the sub-contract company.

Will be a decent price next year, got a quote at 21 with 3 years ncb, no crashes for £1200 with a year in a high performance car. This will also be with track day and driving experiance certificates for extra driving on ice etc etc.

Not to bad to be honest.
