Thanks Richard, I'll be honest and admit my friend Dan who builds amazing Treehouses for a living cut the holes; I'd have probably ended up with another very big bonnet vent I'll pass on the compliment though
So, do you locate the pins first so as to know where they come through the bonnet?
Wayne.
kinda...i looked at other peoples finished installs and chose the one that was most widely used. then i checked the slam panel from suitable mounting\drilling points and compromised from there. I'm about to remove the pins and add a reinforcing strip of alloy under the slam panel; my bonnet is very light and soon i'm going to have an open topped grill so there will be far more air pressure trying to open the bonnet. its worth thinking about doing so you don't have to remove them and retro fit like i'm having too
best advice is take your time and don't be afraid to belt the pins with a hammer to get them aligned
This is something i really want to fit to mine too. I think i'll be wanting them once the new motor is in.
It gives me the creeps watching the poxy bonnet jumping about as it is when at speed
