Nice car there matey, but........................................the headlights are crap to start with and you've gone and done away with one main beam!!

I cannot imagine that the headlight duct is any more efficient at getting cool air into the filter than a foglight area duct, so is it a bit of a style/statement thing?
I have seen them on Skylines and the like, but never on Imprezas.

Still a very nice car though

shorter pipe run, less chance of water ingress...quite a few classics with morrettes (sp?), with headlamp cold feeds too

Well TBH I don't see any "pipe"...it looks like it's just a gaping hole through the headlight (maybe the pics just don't show the full thing) and as for water ingress........the path to the filter from the foglight area is considerably "uphill" and I'd doubt that much water would get up there.....the headlight duct is almost level with the filter, so I'd assume that rain (at say 60mph) would go straight through the headlight duct and past the ABS box, etc and end up around the filter area.

I wasn't criticising the duct, just questioning it's necessity and benefits.

OK for clarities sake, a cold air feed from a fog light will require a longer hose to reach the airbox\induction kit area than one from a headlight. hence the comment.

Not so much rain but puddles but you are probably right there is a fir distance to cover at quite a steep angle so ingress will probably be minimised.

I think we can agree it is not necessary but like so many car modifications the performance benefit may be out weighed by the 'desire to have it benefit'

Thanks for all your post and comments, good are bad.lol

I must own up though I don’t own the car.lol. It’s a good friend of mine owns her,

As far as I know the car is costing in round the £30 grand mark, that’s buying the car and all like, there is currently a bigger turbo going on hoping to break the 500bhp mark,

The car is also for sale if anyone is interested the car has piles of receipts and stuff all documented work, East-Coast-Customs did all the engine work with print outs.

If anyone is seriously interested pm me

Harsh but fair with regard to the drivers footwell.

My cars about 14 year old and the carpet is in a better condition than that. Roof scoop doesn't look good IMO, was it FRAYZ that fitted the proper one? One of them would look a lot better.

Each to their own though, at the end of the day the OP can't really complain about any comments passed, it's not their car

Tough words alrite, The lad did up the car the way he wanted to, he didn’t do it up to impress you are anyone else, he’s just wanted to share the pictures of his pride and joy to other fellow Subaru owners, I count it the best looking Subaru about to be honest, the next thing to a WRC car,

There is a old saying kid “If you have nothing good to say, say nothing atal”

A simple I like it are I don’t would have done without running down his car, specially after all the money he has spent on it…………..

Yes, some of it is OTT but it I'm sure the owner liked it so the only question is why sell now?
