That is looking pretty reasonable. There are a few things that need to be sorted for it to look really good though.
1) Rear lights are a big killer at the moment in my opinion
2) Wheels are not very nice. Silver is a good colour, but they have too many spokes and are not symmetrical. To have that many spokes they would need to be bigger
3) Exhausts could be better. Straight cut, non rolled ends are pretty boring. Inwardly rolled ends look much nicer and are clearly visible as a feature of the car.
Rear lights are the big thing though, they will have to be sorted. The rest is relatively minor and would not stop most from buying.
I just hope that they finally bring over a twin scroll turbo, otherwise the ones to have are going to be imports once again.

Lights and grilles need sorting out. Beefed up bodywork growing on me and interior is well nice. Just sort those cheap looking Lexus rear lights and make front end more aggresive. As above fmic would be nice..

STI
I am trying hard to like it.but not there yet.
Will give it a test when it comes into the showrooms and decide then but i am not convinced it will win me over.
Mind you thought the 2002 STI was awfull when it came out and I now have one,and love the oddball look.

When I 1st saw the new shape then the WRX model I was not impressed whatsoever. The pics that Subaru released of the STI 'in the dark' could not show you enough of the car to pass judgement. Looking at these pics its not perfect in my eyes, but maybe a slight face lift (front grill, rear lights) and some Prodrive mods could change peoples minds. I must agree though that the interior looks great with the Recaros. For the time being I`ll hold on to my Blobeye.

Its going to be in 2.5 flavour, so only single scroll turbo i'm affraid, 300ps and 300lb/ft though.

Horrible, for me the whole appeal of the impreza was the fact it looked distinctive as a saloon. The hatchback is an awful idea and it looks teriible compared to classics/blobs.

See.... I dont think you could call it an Impreza. It's got about as much in common with an Impreza as a cabbage. But if they called it something different. It'd be quite cool.

I drove through Olney earlier and they had a new shape out the front of the garage, i thought it looked pants in the flesh, however it was a non turbo model. Although I think the pics of the STI really look the business!

Like that actually, but, as far as I know the hatchback shape has been brought in to put the impreza in the Focus and Golf class, however the base models are too slow, thirsty, ugly and out dated by all including the Koreans! So, by being slated by the whole of the motoring press, they've failed the primary task
Then we get to the WRX which is in a the same class as the Focus ST, Vauxhall Astra VXR and the Golf R32 etc which all look far better resloved in all areas, so another failure there potentially
Then the Sti, the Evo X is still comparable performance wise to the Sti, and along with the quick audis and BM's etc they are likely to be comparable in the price stakes too. I can't see people heading away from them so where does that leave it, in the hands of the previous owners and enthusiasts and so far there doesn't seem to be many of them who are impressed emough to get the cheque book out.
It had better drive like nothing on the planet and Prodrive had better sort out the styling a bit and put it in another performance league, but how much will it cost then
Still not convinced, will have to see one or two in the flesh (and see them winning rallies) to be won over, in the mean time I'll stick with the Classic!
