Default Should i lose my mudflaps????

Ive decided that im gonna lose my mudflaps for sure.
Decided that i dont like em anymore, and they dont suit the track theme of the car. The only reason they have stayed this long is the amount of crap they keep off of the car.
What do you lot think?

Ditto,

Keep them, it was built for rallying and all rally cars have mudflaps

Anyway, in those pics you can't even notice them so getting rid of them ain't gonna make a difference

I would keep them for road use and take them off when going on the track.

Too much dicking about taking them on and off. Theyre all stainless bolted and fir tree clipped.

I know they help loads, but they get on my ****, I dont personally like the carbon ones either TBH. Thats why i like the plain black as i dont even want to see them.

I think they would look daft cut down too???

I'm a fan of them, hence the name. They should have been factory fitted if you ask me!

I've ditched mine, and can honestly say I haven't noticed new stone chips since they've been gone.

Think the whole thing re: stone chips is a bit of paranoia, even with Subaru paint being how it is.

Go out tonight with a torch and shine it at the bottom of your door. I am 99.9% sure you will be see lots on fine white spots/chips. All depends how bothered you are about the condition of the paint. Will certainly need claying more often on the lower regions.

At the risk of sounding like PSL..

You don't see every other car driving around with big flaps of plastic dangling down from them.. what makes an Impreza need it?

Stick with my original statement - the paint is no worse now than when it had the mudflaps on.

I once bought a used 03 with >15k miles on it,the lower doors and rear bumper were completely and utterly mullered with stone chips.Since then my last 2 Subaru's(both bought new)have had flaps fitted from day 1...buy some quality flaps and they wont look half as daft!
