Nice one, Red is really starting to grow on me. sometime I wish i hadnt gone for blue.
I am envious that you had such a long drive home. When i bought my car it was only a half hour journey and it just wasnt long enough.
Enjoy!!!

Mac.. I was the dude lurking around in the background talking to Tim.
I was having my T20 AST's re-fettled...
Real shame that shiny Red had to get dirtied on the way back up North, but 4 Hours was a good time, especially on those conditions!! I take it the DCCD a few notches up helped?
I'd suggest a good play with that as it's a superb device for settling the car down in wet condition and even dry ones when you're pushing on...
Enjoy..

So am I, i knew Tim was telling me all about the settings etc but i was to excited to take it all in,lol
journey back up was brutal, rained nearly all the way and used a tank and 3/4 to get back, i forgot how bad the fuel consumption was but oh my god is it worth it,lol.
Alan, i am planning on getting the AST's prob next year, taking it up to T20 spec, how much different from the standard Spec C set up is it.?

Mac. Mine isn't the Spec C, however there a two main routes to a decent handling setup.
I've always advocated handling over power, especially when you have 330+
First would be to go for the complete T25 handling kit, which I have. This is the AST's, Anti-lift kit, uprated ARB's and the fast road geo setup and braided brake hoses. Now, I'm not sure if the Spec C variant you have has the ARB's and other kit already on, so I'd speak to Tim or Iain or give Curtis a call in Powerstation. This is the Stage 3 upgrade as listed on the Powerstation website for £1,450 +vat... Not sure if the Braided hoses have now been removed from this?
The other is to go stage at a time if funds are little tighter.. Curtis will easily be able to supply the AST's you require, if the journey down is a killer. All you ned to do is find someone you trust to fit them and do the wheel allignment. I have the specs here, but again, I'd reccomend speaking to Curtis as the various angles may be dependent upon the ARB's and Antilift etc...

Spoke to Tim and he said i would need all of what you mentioned to acheive the T20 spec, i reckon the handling is spot on at the moment and i know a good 4 wheel Alignment centre here in scotland, i would not be upgrading till i have saved a wee bit up(about a year ) as the Spec C took a lot of my spare green, lol and will prob take up a lot more at the V power stops.
Just need to get some Spec C flaps,(ie with Spec C Written on them) anyone know where i can get some or will i have to stick to the STi ones?????
Thanks to all for their input, appreciate it.

I must admit I like red cars
Nice
The rear spoiler looks like a Morette version and it has a radio arial in the A Pillar. I havn't seen an arial a pillar since the 2001 bugeye?
Still looks good though

No probs Mac...
TX - The AST setup is superior to the STI Spec C setup. It's basically as a reult of the hours of Reseach & Development put in by Powerstation & Litchfields. The T20 last year swept the handling honours in the Jap Tuner GP and the the T25 Race Car won, in part, to the handling pack.
That sort of testing is evident in the staged tuning outlined on their site... In my eyes, the pack is a revelation and is one I'd reccomend over more power...
I'd highly reccomend a spin in a T20/25 or car specced with the handling pack...
