See I had a similar issue where i thought it also looked cartoonish but then I was faced with the idea of thinking that im losing thegenuine touch on the car by removing.
Personally Id remove

I used to think that they were aftermarket stickers. They just look daft in my opinion. Take it off!

I would say leave it as taking it off makes the boot lid look too bald - naked - which I found out when I took of my SUBARU lettering. So I put on a newage Impreza badge and a Fuji STi hare CF emblem above it.
Have you thought about getting a different WRX STi sticker?

I say lose it and maybe replace it with a newage chrome WRX badge in the bottom corner.

Don't take it off (if it is a genuine sti) it'll just look like a wrx. If it's not an sti, take it off and get the right sticker.
Those stickers are around £40 too (genuine)

I'd be more concerned about the ridiculous spoiler to be honest.

Thanks for all your replies.
At £40 for a replacement they're too expensive to just peel off & throw away.
So it's staying on.
(for the time being)

First thing i did was to remove the WRX sticker. The back looks a lot fresher without them.

Came off easily with boiling water from a kettle, then just peeled off.
