Cold air feed/post detailing pics.
I recently paid a visit to Bob Rawle to remap my STI. In readiness for the day (among other things I was having an RCM induction kit fitted) I needed to install a cold air feed. After looking at all the different options I settled on some Chargespeed brake ducts (thanks Neilo)
The pics below show the before and after look. Considering this was a ‘function’ as opposed to ‘form’ mod I think the result turned out ok – what do you think?

The feed works really well with MAF intake temps no more than 2 degrees above ambient when moving. The last thing I have left to do with this is to install a heat shield supplied by Harvey which should help with stationary heatsoak then it’s job done
I also had the car professionally detailed recently as the previous owner used a brilo pad when cleaning it! As the pics below show the damage to the paint was bad and I was unsure if anything could be done to fix it.

Unfortunately the ‘after’ pics don’t do the detailing work any justice. The paint is now better than when it left the factory with all marks completely gone rather than just covered with polish etc.
At this point I need to plug Matt frOm ‘Off Your Marks’. If anyone is thinking of getting their paint sorted pm him on here - his username is Detail Matt. He is a proper enthusiast and I guarantee you will be more than happy with the results. (you can find more of his work by searching for his username.)

Looks nice now with the ducts.. like them... and ditto staffi.. what was the guy thinking!
Surely anyone with ounce of sense would know not to rub bodywork with a brillo pad!
Looks good though.. top job there mate

As for the previous owners washing technique god only knows...what i do know is if you use a good professional detailer there isn't much they can't fix though!!

Car looks amazing, like you said a good detailer is worth their weight in gold. BTW sorry for being stupid, but I notice the orange section for the indicators are gone, is it a pain to do???
Thanks
Ian

the car is a jdm sti so it never had the tango look to start off with. That said it is pretty easy to do the same to euro spec lights. You will find loads of how to guides by seraching for de-tango
