I cant wait for the STi version... if its as good as i think it will be then we are going to have a very good well balanced and well built car to play with.
Never really liked any standard WRX Impreza anyways.

With each facelift of the scooby there have been haters and lovers of the latest design at the time HOWEVER the 2008 is soooo soooo hideous. I dont see anything good about it looks wise.

First impression, I am not a great lover of this version
However,
I was not a great lover of the hawkeye when the first pics came out, but quite like it now.
I think if you look past the base wrx, and prey STI widen its stance with blown arches and skirts spoilers. it has, could, have potential.
And if were honest the WRC team need a model like that to compete with Citreon and ford

There is a saloon version, but just for USDM apparently.
Downsides imho? Framed door glass and the fact that it looks like the b*****d offspring of a Saab and a 1 series Beemer.
Fugly as it stands, but never say never. Just wait for the STi in 3 door form before condemning the thing totally.
If they mess that up I can see an awful lot of EvoX's appearing at meets

The new shape has been built to appeal to the masses who want to buy a bland hatchback, giving Subaru increased global sales with a more mainstream product.
I seriously doubt competition in rallying has had anything whatsoever to do with it.

At least Subaru UK wont have to worry about anyone importing them... Next they will be putting KIA badge/proton badge on it.. What the F@~K!! Ordered EVO 10 as a result... sorry guy's they made me do it.. ( I'll Keep 06 sti too..) I'm just going to check my "carbon foot print"... Jesus! what's happening to the world..
