Default Blackfire range on the Type R...

Finally managed to get my Type R cleaned up with some of my recentley purchased blackfire range... From Polishedbliss...
It was in need of a few hours work on the paint, due to the recent ecu change, injector change and mapping, it picked up the odd little mark, and along with the weather we've had recentley... it wasn't up to its normal standards...
I was advised by someone at PolishedBliss to try some BlackFire finishing polish, followed by thier wet dimond all finish paint protection...
With not working fridays, and finally getting a dry day... I set to it...
Not got many pics for you at the minute... as I still think it could be better... was advised with the polish to apply it with a machine polisher...
As it was mopped last year I thought I'd just give it a go by hand and see how it looks...

Could do with a decent camera ( used Sony 850i phone camera lol)... and someone who can take better pics...lol

Not bad I suppose... Really easy to use with the right cloths...

Then on saturday... thought I'd try it on the otherhalf's A3 1.8T... We had this mopped last year... but this really could do with another machine polish... the previous owner didn't look after the paintwork at all...
TBH it could do with the bumpers re-painting... someday!!!

Sorry theres no before and afters...

Looking good there... I dread to think how many hours you have out into this in the last 8 months or so

I've been using the Blackfire and find I always get better results using it as a 2 pack everytime I polish (by hand) oppose to putting a couple of finish coats on in between times.

Looks really nice as always.

Out of interest when you say 'mopped' what are you referring to.

Cheers.

Car looks lovely as always Chris. Seeing yours always makes me regret not buying the black V4 Type R i looked at before the RA. One suggestion, make the next mod a decent camera.

The whole car is machine mopped... Its like a big angle grinder... but with a soft foam or wool head on it... depending on the paint condition... polish, or some sort of compound is applied to the car... it cuts the paint/ removes some of the scrathes depending on how deep they are and brings it back to life...

Carl... wouldn't mind getting a video of it on the move... it sounds awesome... lol
Might borrow my bro's camera... would probabley do the trick I suppose...
Next mods... hmmmm, map tweak, then wouldn't mind dropping it on some H&R springs... and a facelift grill would be good...
But to be honest, not really sure how much longer I will have the car... as i'm 25 soon really need to get on the property market... It'll be a sad day when it goes...
