Mine was a DIY job

Step 1 was to remove a shelf out of a steel cupboard in work and use a stencil from a real panel to mark the shape out

Step 2 was to paint it

I've since had it power coated Black and it now looks even better

Total cost £0.00

they are panels that are....err. slammed

actually , they are meant to improve the airflow from the small gap between the bonnet and grill, over the engine, so helping the cooling.

no exact scientific results, but loads of ppl do it....bit bling as well

look even the welsh do it !!!!

Up to 20% of the air that enters the front of the car through the radiator grille is lost upwards between the slam panel and the underneath of the bonnet before it has chance to pass through the radiator. Our "Thru-flow" polished stainless steel cover directs all of that wasted cold air through the radiator giving a cooler and more efficient coolant system. Tests have shown that temperatures can be lowered by up to 7 degrees C.
so maybe worth it??

Hi,
It's Ralph from Milsport.
Tests were done using Defi's and an independant water temp gauge.
The same road route was used and the comparison test was done within 20 mins of the first one so ambient temps had not changed.
Both the Defi's and the independant temp gauge showed a drop, 7 degrees on the defi and 6 on the other gauge.
SO TO ALL YOU DOUBTERS THEY DO WORK!!!!!!!
island991,
The brackets in the pic are the originals chrome plated.

Ralph
