Would have to make a mould smaller than the OEM bonnet, then maybe vaccum form the perspex over the top???
Trouble is.. making it and not damaging the surface so it gets any marks on it

Easy.
Firstly, get a tripod and a digital camera. Secondly point it your car/bonnet, Thirdly take one pic with the bonnet clossed, then take one with the bonnet open.
Now, now upload these two images to your PC/Mac and open up your image editing. Photoshop. With the open bonnet pic, using the marquee tool select the engine bay area inculding part of the wing and wipers. Once you are happy with what you have sellected, copy and paste your selected ehgine bay onto the pic with the bonnet closed. Now place the engine so it sits right. Then change the opacity on the layers palette to something like 30%-45%.

As above but you don't need the marquee tool, or select anything, do it in 2 layers and remove the opaque bonnet in the up position with the eraser tool

Just a quick wash and dry I think mate I think the shine did the see through bonnet effect no favours though as it quite tricky to see through it with the reflections.....
