First Scooby, pics at last
Only had it about 2 weeks, and been really busy since, so have not had chance to start tinkering (apart from the system being fitted )
Never had any power to play with before and pro sport is just up the road from me so when the finances are back in check
will be paying then a visit me thinks
I know its only a classic turbo, which compared to other cars on here is nowt, but im over the moon i finally have one
Had better go, need to nip to the garage to fill her up again

The guiness thing is an inflatable drink holder (like a tiny lilo with 4 big holes) i use it on the Mc Donalds run when im workin
and have to drive back, stopes the cokes flying around everywhere,
tons better than the crappy cardboard ones they give you
The system consists of an alpine motorized mp3 player, 12" type r sub (in sealed enclosure), Alpine mono digital amp (under passenger seat out the way), and Infinity Kappa 6x9's in the shelf, left the original covers on so you cant see them.
Just need some good components upfront and it'll be sorted
any reccomendations anyone
will get them amped up too to give them some real power
Also any suggestions about what i should do next(new carpets and boot matt are on order on pay day cos the standard ones are kak) but dont know what to do next really

nice looking motor there chap, if i were you id get those black trims colour coded blue next. good idea putting amp under seat for security-if i were you id take the sub out of the box and screw the box down (from the inside) securely to the floor to stop thieving gits getting to it and stop it flying around the boot!
enjoy

Very nice, clean looking car.
As someone already said, colour code your side skirts and rear bumper bits.

Lovely looking car... but I'm feeling very confused. I'm assuming it's a 1999 or 2000 car given it has colour-coded wing mirrors and door handles..? And a UK Turbo..? But is that a standard colour..? If it's 'reddish blue', I thought Subaru waved bye bye to that in 1998. Hmmm...

well spent for peace of mind i think

In no way taking anything away from the excellent example you have, I'm still confused with its colour.
Apart from the P1, the only UK Classics which I'm aware had a lighter than dark/deep blue mica were the Terzo special edition (1998) and the reddish blue models (which Subaru deleted when the MY99 was released -- still with black door handles and wing mirrors). When I was looking for my late-spec UK Classic (MY00), I was never aware that such a blue existed (complete with colour-coded handles and mirrors).
It's gorgeous, but are you sure it's a standard UK car..? Perhaps a Euro import... but hey, whether UK or Euro, you have a fab looking example. I'm just jealous!
Jonts.

Don't panic!
With a true UK car you're guaranteed to have no real issues with insurance or Subaru servicing and parts ordering. However, with imports it doesn't mean you will. From what I understand, Euro imports based on UK-spec cars come from within the EU so Subaru are quite happy to play with them. It's the Japanese variety which they particularly don't like, but not a problem if you want it maintained by a specialist outfit.
I think you said the car had a full Subaru service history, so the only things you need to do are confirm where the car's come from and make sure you declare it as an import to your insurance company.
Granted, you may have an issue with the garage you bought the car from if you specifically wanted a UK car but if insurance and servicing cause you no problems then just enjoy the excellent example you seem to have picked up

Cheers guys been doing a bit of reading about imports and uk cars, and i have calmed myself down now
Im sure i did ask the garage when i bought it if it was a uk version, but having said that its up to me to check all the service history, which i did quite quickly (bit excited) so if i go and have a moan, it wont solve anything
Bottom line is that i still feel the same way about it and like all cars just hope its reliable and serves me well, and from what ive heard it should

Just thought I'd add a couple of pics of mine with the crystal front end (silvatec bulbs are a must have) and the vents under the indicators colour coded!
I'm sure Justin (Scoobyverysoon) will be having a nose around your Euro import, although one thing's for sure - his will be cleaner!! (He's into his detailing in a big way!)
See you at the October meet!
(You'll easily spot me by the way - I'm the one with the SMACS tshirt that turns me into a billboard size advert for the SMACS website!! )

oh and the less we say about the billboard the better
