Nice one.

It's got to be a worrying time (running a rebuilt engine in) I'd be so paranoid

I've been waiting for this absolutely fantastic !!

Give yourself a pat on the back

I'm not sure if you would have had that quality finish if you had of paid someone to do it ( he say's very diplomatically )

Hope the running in period goes smoothly for you

Hi mate,

I have been following your progress in the "Projects" section and the finish is absolutely fantastic.

Excellent work and certainly of the best looking Type Rs.

Cheers for the comments you lot...

It has been mapped, but its a running in map... gotta be a good boy for a while...lol
Its only running low boost ( 4-5 psi ) and i'm only using part throttle and not going over 4000rpm...
Once its run in with the 800cc injectors fitted... I'd hope to see it push out 500bhp... but, anything over 450bhp + reliable I'll be happy with... gotta hook up 2 stage boost... going for around 18psi stage 1, and 25psi stage 2...
stage 1 is for when I'm skint btw... lol

Done over 300miles now, and so far so good... wouldn't expect owt else though!!!

Screen is a Centurion jobby... I just trimmed the top cubby hole out... and for the minute just velcro it in place when in use....
At some stage I wanna get hold of another top cubby to play about with... as I can't shut the lid with the screen layed flat... just wants a couple of mm each side.... I think abit of cutting and fibre glassing will be needed for the next cubby hole...

Spec:-

Axis stage 4 build... (EJ22t) 2.35
Sealed together with Cometic head gaskets and ARP studs and bolts
Gems ECU with anti-lag...
Garrett hybrid turbo (bolts in standard position)
Samco turbo inlet pipe
800cc v-port injectors (waiting to be fitted once run in)
Hybrid FMIC
Walbro fuel pump
Parrallel fuel mod
Cossie fuel pressure regulator
3 port boost solinoid
Carl Davey inlet manifold spacers
APi baffled sump
RCM uprated oil pump
uprated headers, and up-pipe
Water spray re-routed to just behind the front number plate for the FMIC

Thats pretty much the basics... if I remember anything else, i'll update it... lol

Looking good mate. I liked this car when your mate had it but it's looking even better now. Are you popping across to the SSC meet tomorow??
Hope to see it there.

Impressive spec list

Thinking on it that's even more impressive considering it's a DIY build

Yes you get black Type R's but there's not a lot of them about. V.nice indeed mate. Especially under the bonnet.
