Default A recent drive with some friends (much pics)

Went on a drive recently with some friends here in California and got some pics. We ran a local road called Mosquito Ridge, which has over 300 corners in 36 miles.

The road starts at "Foresthill":

Our group at the start of the drive. It ended up being pretty snowy that day (we've had a lot of snow at low elevation recently) so the drive was slow but still a blast:

My wagon:

One of the guys who couldn't make the drive down the snow covered road:

Because of this:

Here we are, 16 miles in at the end of the plowed section. Friends '04 STI in the foreground, my wagon, then a friends 98 OB:

I do love this pic - the road in question drops to the bottom of the canyon to a hydro damn. We drove it last year, they're not kidding - the discs on my brakes were glowing blue at the bottom:

My wagon again:

Wagon Mafia!

All in all, it was an awesome drive. Aside from our loud cars, it was very peaceful at the top. I love fresh snow

I picked that up from a local store we have in the US called 'Rack and Road'. They call it a 'fairing', I think it's 36". I'm not sure where you'd get one online though

Rather large ones by the looks of it!

Those tyres don't your police look out for offences like this, or is he just playing roulette?

If I remember correctly the fairing kit came equipment to mount it up to a square set of bars. I don't think I have that hardware anymore though. If you give me a couple of days I'd be happy to run by Rack and Road and check in person. The fairing will only work with Yakima equipment though. And I added the Wagon Mafia sticker, yes

Yeah, the area we were in is a relatively remote one. The residents up there tend to like guns and like shooting them. In fact most of the signs along that road have custom "venting"

I don't think they pay too much attention to the tires. They're R compounds that are street legal but they're worn like that from quite a few track days.

Yeh. well very similar. square bars of the same diameter. I know Thule do a fairing but it looks crappy in comparison with the yakima one!!

if you could do me a huge favour and measure bars and fairing on your car? that would be great. I think i need 48" bars and 38" fairing (i have a MY2000 classic but i looked that up on yakima site)

ps are your load bars subaru or yakima? i can kinda see a subaru logo or is that on something else?

Well, I ordered the bars through Subaru when I bought the car, however it's just rebadged Yakima stuff. I'll try to get the measurements late tonight (so tomorrow morning for you ).
