Cool 330d replaced with this.....

Finally had the time to clean my new car properly and take a couple of pics.

I've gone from this....

to this....

All I can say is that I'm now on first name terms with the staff at my local Shell garage!

that is one nice car. I love the looks of the M3, and you got the best colour as well. Whats it like to drive compared to the diesel?

Dave,

It's really quite different, surprise surprise! The M3 only really gets going once you have 5k rpm on the clock, and then between 6k and 8k it really flies. Of course, the 330d was all out at 4.5k, so a huge difference.

The 330d is/was a fantastic car. I'd have another tomorrow if I needed to. The M3 is everything that I'd hoped it would be, and is way more than just a one trick pony. It's a great package, and I hope to really start enjoying it once the roads dry out a bit!

Cuppla questions...
Has it got SMG?
If so, what do you think of it?

Is that 18's or 19's?

No you are totally wrong. The best colour is black which, funnily enough, was the colour of mine.

Hank,

It's a manual and has 19's. I was never keen on SMG having tried it a few times. I find that the manual box is also way easier to drive in the icy/snowy conditions we've got at the moment. The ride on 19's is also very good, and considerably better than any WRX/STI.

Taff, everyone knows that Silver Grey ones are faster than Carbon Blacks! LOL

Cheers.

But I'm afraid you're both wrong on the colour, has to be Laguna Seca with black interior!
