After 3 years of Scoob ownership...
I got bored of my silver Impreza WRX after 3 happy years together, so it's goodbye to my old baby:
And it's time to welcome my new car: a silver Impreza WRX!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that used to be MadGrips car. Lovely motor, and couldn't have been any better cared for when it was his.

It was MadGrips car and it's still a minter! Very, very well cared for.
Richee, luckily I do like silver, but the colour was just a coincidence. I went shopping for an STi 5 and ended up falling for a bugeye

My old WRX and my new WRX make roughly the same peak power (around 290bhp-ish) but they make it in totally different ways. The old 'un is all "lag...lag...lag...BANG!" whereas the new one feels lag free by comparison and just pulls so it's not as dramatic and the taller UK gearing on the new one dulls the performance at higher speeds a little.
The handling's not quite as sharp but much more comfortable and exploitable.
To be honest, that's exactly what I was looking for. I wanted Impreza performance and handling in a more refined package.
I'd say I've got 95% of the overall ability of the old one with 100% better refinement and it's probably faster "real world" due to much better mid-range response. And it looks fantastic

Engine wise it's got a Superchip and full decat with TSL Firestorm back box and is reputed to have ~300bhp. It's also got Eibach 35mm lowered springs and drilled/grooved disks, STi strut brace plus all the stuff you can see in the pics.
Did I mention that I love this car?

And wasn't it you at one of our meets saying how much better the classics were compared to the bugeyes??? lol
Let's not have a mass debate though about how classics are better than bugeyes etc etc lol
