Lets hope they last a long time..... dont fancy painting them next month... lol....
Would any1 have gone for a different colour scheme??????

Charlie,
I think they look great, I have seen yellow calipers on a porche boxter and they looked OK but red is really the only colour
What paint did you use to do the job, did you paint them by hand or strip and spray them? Having seen yours I think I will have a go myself

The paint i used is basically a tin of vehicle paint (forget what car is was made up for), basically meant to be sprayed from a gun and compressor.
I literally took the wheels off and painted them on the car, using a paintbrush.
The white is simply a bright white touch up pen to get a fine point to outline the lettering.
So far so good... really easy to do as well. Should definitely try.

Did you wire brush the calipers first?
Do you think the heat from the calipers will make the paint peel or flake? Maybe bright red hammerite smooth is a good idea, isnt it heat resistant?

Hi
Yes all callipers were wiped down with Thinners (basiacally a paint remover, de greaser etc) to ensure the surfaces were free from dirt.
All callipers were painted suing thick vehcile paint. I dont think they will eva fade.. so touch when appplied with a brush. Just select a colour get a small pot mixed up.
Woodnt advise spraying them though with a mixed up can... too thinner coverage...
Charlie.

Well i painted my last cars callipers red and in 2 years they never fadded. Pretty hard wearing. As long as you get a good even covering, they will be fine.
I'll have to see aobu the heat side of things. To be honest though, even if i had to do them again in a year or even 6months it only took me about 2 hours all in. Not that bad if you leave the callipers on the disks. Easy job.
No didnt need a wire brush, just de-greased and cleaned them. Paint has stuck on fine

I did mine red/white the first time, silver/black the second time and have just done them black/white. Each time thinking the current combination was the best....
Yours do look good.
