Number Plate Blanking?
Hi
Gonna try and get some piccys of my new scoob up this week and have noticed that everyone blanks a part if not all of their number plates out.
Im sure there is a good reason for this can anyone explain please?
Also is it easy to do. Does it have to be done in paint or can you do it in photobucket?
Last but not least does it always take so bloody long to up load the pics from the pc to phot bucket. Cant seem to do more than about 3 at a time without it crashing?

Imagine if PSL's plate got out, for example.
I would ask a car magazine to blank my plates out in the unlikely event of it getting featured though, a number plate and a list of expensive mods, and probably a rough idea of where you live.
I notice the Max Power type mags always block the plates out to stop the cars getting targetted by their chav readership.

It's to stop people cloning your car. If I have a blue STi 8, and I want to clone a plate to get away with speeding/other offences, Scoobynet is a perfect place to find a registration number to stick on the car. It's only a small chance, but it takes 30 seconds to do once you've worked out how.
