Because genuine Kaylan material is expensive. There are cheaper alternatives but most lack the UV stabilty of Kaylan.
And no, I don't think they do pink

DIY versions (mine, DJ Dunk and scoobimax) were made using Kaylan, aluminium, templates and a little skill for less than £60
