Cool Sold the Scoob to pay off debts...still had enough left to buy this >

After one years happy motoring I've sold my Scoob (my99 WRX Type RA WRC) and bought an ex-hill climb Lancia Delta Integrale

Had an engine rebuild and upgrade i.e. performance cams from Walkers in 2000 and done hardly any miles since, has full cage, paddle clutch, uprated suspension, uprated brembo brakes, full stainless exhaust, sparco buckets seats, harnesses etc etc

It's an absolute hoot to drive, loads of lag them whammo you get a hooge push in the back. The handling is fantastic, I certainly won't get the best out of it as it's way above my abilities. The feedback and 'feel' through the steering wheel is simply sublime.

Just feels so full of character, almost alive.

Just hope I'm still as happy when bits start dropping off it and/or blowing up....or maybe I will be lucky because I will look after it? The Scoob feels alot more solid and more able to handle some welly...time will tell.

This (right click save as) is my old one, tell me that sounds ****

Mine was fitted with a group A exhaust so it sounded exactly the same as a works car no silencers made it useless at night though

Sorry some have come out a bit dark.

What model of integrale is it? I know what the answer is but can you work it out from the photos (a clue is the headlights)....

I can't view photos on yahoo from my work laptop

I'll have to have a look on Monday when I can get onto a normal dial up connection.

If I could see it I'd be able to tell straight away I think

Certainly can

It's either an 8 or a 16 valve that's been fitted with an evo front bumper, bonnet, front wings, rear doors, wipers, rear spoiler, wheels, side skirts and rear wings or the easy thing would be an evo with the wrong headlights

Correct!

It's an 8 valve reshelled into an Evo shell in 2000. Apparently the original shell had stress cracks and was rusting badly so the chap who used it for hill climbs reshelled using the original headlights as the Evo items are £400 new .

The reshell was done by Walkers. It's HPI clear and has been inspected by VOSA(?) or summat (to do with ministry of transport) after the reshell. Got all docs to prove it's legit and all numbers match up to the V5.
It's showing 16,000 which also checks out on the HPI but I doubt it...although if it has been used mainly for competing I suppose it would have low miles?

Here's the where I seen it advertised :

I can honestly say I've never been happier with any other car I adore it already .

lol at waggy doo's dilemma

treat yourself to an extra car! they're very affordable to buy and run with classic insurance, it won't depreciate, and if you buy a decent one hopefully you will avoid big repair bills. it isn't quite as thirsty as the scoob but not far off...then again it could be something to do with me driving it like a grandad 99% of the time ...just don't need to go fast to enjoy it.....although tonight i must admit i had mini traffic light grand prix with a mitsu gto twin turbo, pulled a good few car lengths upto 50ish (40mph limit) and eased off. sorry couldn't help it!

the amount of questions i get asked over it at petrol stations etc lol....and i thought only people in the the 'know' knew about these cars?

sorry couldn't resist more photos
