Halfway showed how quickly the weather could change...... misty and gales in the morning with poor visibility, and bright sunshine in the afternoon!

Mark - we saw that too - couldn't quite believe our eyes. From some of your pics at Brechfa, it looks like you were standing pretty close to us!

Halfway was unbelievable. We were over by the new road section (where Gronholm rolled his car). The weather in the morning (we got there just after 7:00 AM) was appalling - the worst I've ever known on WRGB. Once it stopped raining and the fog lifted, the afternoon run was great!

Thanks Chris. I think I might have seen your group at Brechfa. Were you in the two Impreza's with SRT plates? A silver and black one I recall. If so you parked about 4 cars away from me as you arrived, and woke me up as you turned round . I was in the MY02 STi.

I was stood about half way up from the bend where Sainz had his accident a couple of years ago, towards the left hand bend where the cars can been seen again approaching from the other direction.

I arrived up at Halfway about 6.30am and decided to sit in the car till about 9am when the weather eased slightly. At least the wind chill wasn't as cold as last year. I decided to head off down the hill to the gate on the section before the cars arrive at Dixies. I've watched from Deer's leap before and across the other side of the valley the year the three cars rolled so decided a change was in order.
