Default My Slightly Modified MY01 WRX...

Well, that was the intention when I bought it.I dread to think how much this thing actually owes me now!!!!

It started life as a bog standard belgian import as you can see from the pic below (Reg plates are the belgian transit plates)

Then I found Scoobynet, and this is how it looks now!! (I'm sure other people can relate to this story too lol)

Had to try and remember everything I've done to it,so spec list is below:

Interior

Prodrive Gearknob
Subaru Aluminium gear surround
Subaru three gauge pod with Lamco boost/oil temp & pressure gauges
Autostyle "Royal Blue" tailored mats

Exterior

Smoked indicators & STi style markers
STi7 Bonnet Scoop
Subaru sports grille
Subaru sports grille side set
Pink STi grille badge
Prodrive twin headlamp conversion (With 4x Vision plus bulbs)
Genuine STi foglamp covers
Colour coded side skirts
P1 'mini mud-flaps'
Prodrive Rear spoiler

Wheels/Tyres & Suspension

8x18 OZ Super Leggera's with Toyo & Goodyear F1 225/40 x 18's
Prodrive springs/Geometry settings

Brakes

Prodrive 330mm disk and caliper conversion with Ferodo DS2500 pads front & rear
Goodridge stainless brake hoses with Dot 5 fluid
Prodrive Quickshift

Engine/Exhaust Mods

STi7 intercooler
Samco intercooler hoses
Scoobysport centre sections,downpipe,up-pipe and backbox
MRT "O2 Sensor Defender" (Stops the 0420 error code when removing downpipe cat)
Green panel filter

Sounds

Blaupunkt MP72 MP3 head unit and A09 5 disk in dash CD changer
Infinity 605 front speakers

Here goes...

Big thanks to Zippy for fitting of the brakes and to Ira at Palatine Motors for a top job on the front end respray (Due to **** Subaru paintwork and stone chips!! )

Cheers

Nick

Looking good Mr ' A ',thanks to Zippy for the fitting of the brakes, you do make me laugh,i wish it was just the bl##dy brakes,i've had my spanners out on your car more than mine.

Brakes twice,intercooler hoses twice,exhaust (Lost count) Intercooler,Cel Fix,Speakers,Spark plugs........Soz several times.

Nick isnt in the AA he rings Zippy.

His missus does a nice curry though,i take that as payment when i'm round at Grundgewater garages.

Go on man work out from when you bought it HOW MUCH it owes you,i dare you.

Zippy

Can't go wrong for a fiver with those sunglasses anyway!!

Car came from Garage Knockaert in Ieper,Belgium!!

Go on man work out from when you bought it HOW MUCH it owes you,i dare you
After a 'quick' tally up on what's on the spec list above,I've just come to a grand total of............ OMFG

Just over £6.5k and that excludes fuel, servicing costs, replacement tyres etc!!! (I guess there's probably stuff that I've missed off too!! )
Holy ****,I hope Kay doesn't read this post!!!! lol

I must admit, back in the days when I'd just bought my classic and really wasn't a fan of the bugeye, I'd seen Nick's car in the local area and it always looked good.

Looks crap.........

But makes mine look crapper.

Mines 'worth' £12,000ish on a good day, so does that mean you will get £18,000+ for yours ?.......

Seriously, did you ever think "Sack this, Ill part ex it and put my £6.000 towards something else."

Or did it sneak up on you, if you know what I mean.

To be honest its the best bugeye WRX Ive ever seen, or riden in.

Later Yoza.

Thanks for the comments guys!!
The STi intercooler does make a difference IMHO....
The car pulls that little bit harder now with it!!
The brakes are a LOT better than the standard ones that's for sure. They help to shed sooo much speed off in so little time.Pedal is nice n firm now too thanks to the uprated front and rear pads!!
Spooks,I've sent you a pm with more info on the STi intercooler...

Cheers guys

Nick

P.S: Yoza,I only wish my car was worth £18k!!! lol The figure did creap up on me yeah as I've took my time modifying it rather than doing everything all at once (Little bit easier on the wallet too). But to say I was shocked when I got to £6.5k is a little bit of an understatement lol
