While some of you were messing around at Autosport International, I was taking in the sights at the Tokyo Auto Salon, where the real nutcases show off their stuff. Every possible combination of car and scissor doors on display, together with some scantily-clad women being photographed by hundreds of drooling geeks. And me. The six-wheeled Micra was a high-point, and the song and dance routines were very impressive. I think I need to leave this country. Iting a very strange effect on me[/url]

I obviously need to learn a bit more about this posting business. And photography. Most things, in fact...

I see you visited Karuizawa as well When I was living with my family over there years ago we used to do vacation nearly every summer in Karuizawa. Very nice and quite place and even felt a little like home

Let's hope that the Mitsi Evo WRX is more competetive than it looks!!! yuk!!!

It looks like the fitter sneezed as he was gluing the rear spoiler on, and it moved!!!

The show was really good, and it was just as well we had a height advantage over the locals or we wouldn't have seen the cars over all the locals' digital cameras focused in on the girls.

Subaru stand was awesome, only pipped by the Toyota stand due to having western dancers around their cars. (yes thery were female dancers !)

I would say EVO WRC is ugly. LEGO WRC is right name for it.

Hey,

The mangled Z belongs to Option magazine. It was one of the stars of the show last year (when it was in one piece). You can now even buy models of it. They modified it heavily and were doing promotional tours of the States.
However, at some time, in some country (you can tell by now that i don't know the full story), somebody had a bit of a high-speed incident.

Option are so proud of their destructive capabilities that they put all the deconstructed components on display this year.

Nice

Gret pics, unfortunately I couldn't make it this year to the TAS...

I was there last year and thought it became a little boring compared to the previous years...but that's maybe also because the GC8 were about to dissapear??

I have the Option magazine with the full story of the Option Z accident. It was a horrible crash!!
