Sparky - totally agree with you - I seriously love this colour especially with the gold wheels (and this is from a guy that thought gold wheels should only be on mica blue or black scoobs).

Thw wax I use if Swissol - expensive but the dogs when it comes to keeping your pride and joy looking good

Sorry but my Reg doesn't end with SHH

Has anyone got any pics of Mica red scoob, as I am trying to get an idea of which colour/type of rims would look best ?

Here's my beastie!

Colouring is a little better here:

Red Mica with 17" P1 Oz alloys. Would look even better with colourcoding !

I must do some new piccies now that I have a new camera which should be able to cope with Red Mica...

My Scoob,
Not decided about the rims, they were on the car when I bought it, I think it'd look better with standard silver or anthracite.

I have just bought a mica red 2001 turbo (2000 model) with brand new 17" STI rims, but I am not sure that the gold looks right. Do you have any pics of yours now Danny (with the gold) ??

DJFish,

Cheers mate

Got them from the For Sale section. £375 for the four. They weren't all mint, but it was nothing a refurb couldn't put right. Alternatively you can pick them up from a dealer for £200 each. Shop around though and you might find some discounts available. They're even available through some of the wheel specialists.

They're 17s, and the car sits on Bilstein & Eibachs.

Well I started this thread looking for mica red pics, as I was unsure whether or not my gold STI rims looked right. Now I am completely confused and undecided. I change my mind every time I see a new pic. Think I will leave the gold ones on for a while, and maybe trade in my autoglym for come of that wax that Nelson uses. Some lovely red scoobs guys. I was unsure about the colour when I bought the car (2 days ago), but now I love it. I think it is just about the nicest colour around, probably cause there are a few less of them out there.

Cool

Here is the missus' car. The car was used as a shuttle during a SCCA rally we attend each year in South Carolina. For those that may not know, its called the Outback Sport and has the Legacy 2.5 motor in it. Not as fast as a turbo, but a nice bit of torque instead. Behind it is a friend's WRX sedan.

And here's a very old picture of my RS coupe. It too has the 2.5 motor in it. Currently it has the gold STI 16 inch wheels on it.

Hi Sidhead

Could be my one, my plate ends in SHH starts with an X. It has 17" PCW wheels though in gold. They similar to the Oz Super tourismo wheels.

Went to the second Castle Combe Action day and was also at The Castle Combe Rally Day.
