Final bunch of photos
The first lot were taken at the Panzerplatte West stage on Saturday. There were thousands of people there. Very spectacular, but very dangerous for the drivers. The second lot were taken at Schones Moselland stage on Sunday. This is an amazing place to watch a rally cars.
Think that is it! Well worth a visit next year. Very easy to get down there. Channel Tunnel and then a fairly striaght forward drive taking approx 5-6 hours.

Hi Chris,
Great photos! How was the last day then? Those vinyards are really nice!
We got drowned on the St Wendler Land stage but got some excellent viewing position!
Can you send a CD of your pics to Guy, hes going to collect all pictures together + his digi video footage and distribute to all! Email me per profile if you need his email/home address!

Hi Al
Yeah no problem. CD Writer is a bit sick at the moment, but I should get a new one tomorrow, so I'll sort it out then.
As you can see from the pics, we weren't close to the cars (and it was a bit of a hike to get there), but it was a great place to watch them. I reckon you could see 2 or 3Km of the stage. We were virtually level with the helicopters filming the stage, so it was pretty impressive.
It did rain a bit, but we just sat there like green gnomes in our capes
All in all, a pretty good days viewing
Cheers

Quality pics again, keep up the good work...
Jonny.
I take it you will be at the 'Welsh' UK rally in cardiff. Keep up the good work. I might make a trip down there yet.
Its not the same as years ago when we could travel to Grizedale forest up in the lakes and watch WRC pass on the M6 ready for action.
Bring back the good times of spectating when you could park in a field for a fiver and clamber up the hills for a good spot to watch McCrae and Co burn down the the gravel tracks...
Good times.

Actually it wasn't too expensive... 10 Euros (6 squid) for a day pass, and one Euro if you parked in one of the large fields. Free bus trip to the stages too so all round, not too expensive. Petrol to get there cost me more .

So the German round is to be recommended then ?
I'm probably going to give WRC Wales a miss as it's not worth the expense/hassle that is involved to spectate there and 1 or 2 foreign events might well be a better alternative.
It's unfortunate that this year is possibly the last that the Italian round is situated on tarmac round San Remo as I went there a couple of years ago and it was great. Monte Carlo beckons !
