Looks good The back end seems to sit much 'flatter'. How do does it feel now with these?

Richie (waiting for the MY03 sti springs).

Mcscooby LOL

Ramdor,
My dealer from brand new fitted Eibach's but found them a bit hard I only found out recently that they'd fitted classic springs and not Bugeyed So hard to compare with originals
However these springs really suit the rubbish roads out our way low enough to look good and no need to wear a gum sheild whilst driving. My wife has commented that it is more comfortable in the back now but still requires a 5 piont harness to hold her down LOL
The back could still do with firming up a bit will fit a new Anti rollbar and solid drop links

Nice Tony, cheers for the feedback I am trying to decide what to go for, the Prodrive springs (when they eventually come out for the MY03 STi) or Leda suspension. Decisions, decisions

Richie.

Cheers,

Ramdor,
No problem glad I could help

Ian,
I believe the Spring kits are about £180, I would suggest you buy them from a Dealer and get TSL or Powerstation etc. to fit them and do a proper 4 wheel geometry set up done IMHO

Now, am I the only one that thinks the Bug-Eye with Sti lights actually looks better than MY03? The new one looks a little too bulky at the front to me. However, the MY03 looks way better than the bug-eye with the WRX lights.... weird that.

Unhappy

Dealer tells me the springs are out of stock at IM until end of month at least.
IM told him that they only ordered 12 sets to see how they went.
Are there only 12 people with the springs fitted? Seem to be more than that.

Tractor,
Tend to agree with you if they had fitted STi lights to all Bugeyes may have not needed to do a revamp

Fizz,
Sticker were an optional extra

I reckon the car doesn't sit so nose down now so reckon they have lowered the rear more than front

Thanks Tony. Is that £180 per corner or for the set? Seems pretty cheap if it's for the set (considering my sti mudflaps cost twice as much as that!!)

Thanks,
Iain

My dealer quoted me £165.96 + VAT less SIDC discount for the full set.
Excellent deal, if only they had stock at IM!

Tony,
Dealer says May 24th for springs - Hooray!

May fit them myself as he wants approx. £200!!! Any advise/tips from anyone who's fitted them?
p.s. I've got my own spring compressors and have done full suspension rebuilds on previous cars, so any tips for the scooby gratefully received.

Thanks

Steve Wardle

It didn't look too difficult to me when i watched mine being done.

BUT, ensure you get the geometry done properly afterwards.

Nice pics Tony.

You seem to be happy with them from your posts, is this still the case?

Im looking to get some 18" OZs in the next month or two, so it would make sense to do the springs at the same time.

I had the Prodrive springs on my previous WRX and they did make a big difference.

StevePPP,

200 quid seems a good price from your dealer - I just got quoted 400+vat for fitting the prodrive springs to my MY02!

Spoke to TSL and I'm probably go there.

Mark,
still the case but the car needs really (IMHO) the rear Anti-Rollbar and drop links replacing.

Hi Tony,

I just put my Sti springs back on my car before my first service next week. I now know why I fitted WRX springs and dampers 8 months ago . Do you feel that the ride is less bumpy with the Prodrive springs?

Cheers

Gareth,
Yes far less bumpy(no need for gum sheilds) but does need a better ARB and droplinks to finish of the back end
